Grenton System with wireless technology

Where necessary, the Grenton Smart Home can operate wirelessly using Z-Wave and WiFi technology.

Advantages of using wireless technologies

Upgrading an existing installation

Wireless technology allows the system to be installed in ready and finished flats and homes available on the secondary market, where a non-invasive solution is required.

Unlimited system extensions

Grenton’s wireless solutions allow existing systems to be extended with additional functionality, offering full flexibility to adapt to changing needs.

Low cost of initial investment

The use of wireless modules allows an initial investment in only the basic smart home functionality, giving full freedom to expand in the future.

The most popular uses of Z-Wave and WiFi
wireless technology in the Grenton system

Remote management
of lighting and appliances

Selected functionalities after configuration:

  • Remotely switch lighting and home appliances on and off using the myGrenton app.
  • Using of predefined lighting scenes.
  • Light control schedules adapted to daily activities.
  • Automatic lighting control based on motion sensors.
Required modules and sensors:
  • CLU Z-Wave
  • Relay x2 Z-Wave lub Wifi
  • LED RGBW Z-Wave
  • Infibity Motion Sensor Z-Wave

Installation tips

  • One module allows the connection of two lamps and two buttons. By default, the buttons are directly linked to their respective relays, allowing them to operate immediately and stably without communication with the CLU.

  • In order to extend the range of Z-Wave modules, the routing function can be activated in the CLU settings. Then each additional Z-Wave module will extend the range to form a MESH network.

  • To put the Z-Wave module into pairing or unpairing mode, all it takes is six quick clicks on the connected light switch, without removing it.

  • Z-Wave flush-mounted modules allow the connection of a temperature sensor in 1-Wire technology.

Home security and alarm functions

Selected functionalities after configuration:

  • Detection of movement and self-activation of lighting.
  • Automatic water shut-off in the event of flooding.
  • Automated sensor breach notifications in the myGrenton app.
  • Activation of an acoustic signal and automatic ventilation when smoke is detected.
Required modules and sensors:
  • CLU Z-Wave
  • Infibity Door & Window Sensor Z-Wave
  • Infibity Water Leak Sensor Z-Wave
  • Infibity Motion Sensor Z-Wave
  • Heiman Smoke Sensor Z-Wave
  • Electrovalve

Installation tips

  • The Infibity Door & Window Sensor Z-Wave also has a built-in humidity and temperature sensor.

  • The Infibity Motion Sensor Z-Wave is additionally equipped with a temperature, humidity and light sensor.

  • The Infibity Door & Window Sensor and Infibity Water Leak Sensor can be powered via a USB cable, eliminating the need for periodic battery replacement.

  • Additional sensors can be added to the system using wired Gate Modbus or Gate HTTP integration modules.

  • Using the wired Gate Alarm module, the Grenton Smart Home can be integrated with popular alarm systems from other brands, e.g. Satel, Jablotron.

Intelligent heating control

Selected functionalities after configuration:

  • Remote control of heating in individual rooms.
  • Automatic temperature control when the house is empty.
  • Creation of heating schedules, editable in the myGrenton app.
  • Automatic switching off of heating in a room when the opening of a window is detected.
Required modules and sensors
  • CLU Z-Wave
  • Infibity Radiator Thermostat Z-Wave
Set price from

390 EUR net

Installation tips

  • There is a widget in the myGrenton app to view the current and desired room temperature.

  • The Infibity Radiator Thermostat has additional features such as frost protection, anti-scaling and window opening detection (see product manual for details).

  • When using the Infibity Radiator Thermostat in a Grenton System, there is no need to create an additional virtual ‘thermostat’ object in the system. The module can use a built-in control algorithm that automatically manages the opening and closing of the valves to optimally heat the room according to the set temperature.

Other uses and selected system extension scenarios

  • Control of roller shutters, curtains, blinds or drapes using the Roller Shutter Z-Wave or WiFi module.

  • Create schedules for opening and closing roller shutters based on the time of day, using wireless modules.

  • Use of the WiFi version of the Smart Panel where it is not possible to route the TF-Bus.

  • The ability to download data from external sources and easy integration with home appliances, such as audio equipment, via the wired Gate HTTP module.

  • and much more…
